1979 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500 |
|
A Triumph Spitfire is probably one of the most exciting cars to drive. This two seat convertible will turn heads and be the subject of conversations everywhere you go. This is a 1979 model 1500. I bought this car with the engine in mid rebuild and recently finished (after starting over from scratch). I don’t trust the odometer so I won’t list the mileage. I will say that it has about 100 miles since the rebuild. I’m selling it to pay one of my children’s medical bills. I’m asking $4,500 for the car (with soft and hard top). The hard top needs a new headliner and rear glass seal. I have a parts car, and many other miscellaneous Spitfire components. I’m asking $5,000 for everything Spitfire I have.

The hard top set in place. The cloth headliner needs replaced and so does the rubber seal that holds in the back glass. |

This is a close-up of the hood paint showing cracks directly over the engine (I suppose these are due to heat). |

The car has a Webber DGV carburetor and high performance exhaust installed to give it a racecar sound to match it’s look. The tires are nearly brand new including the full size spare. As I mentioned, I don’t trust the odometer, and the turn signals don’t work. |
